CourtCut vs PickleballTournaments.com: Fees and Features Compared
Both run pickleball tournament registration, brackets and results online. This page puts their published fees side by side and works the same $75 registration through each, so a director can see what an event costs and what players pay before choosing. Every figure links to where it was read, with the date.
What the Director Pays
PickleballTournaments.com figures come from its pricing page and help center. CourtCut's Premium rate is the live rate shown during tournament setup. Prices change; check both before you publish.
| Fee | PickleballTournaments.com | CourtCut |
|---|---|---|
| Setup or Creation | $25 per tournament, paid before registration opens. Non-refundable; the listing is deleted if it is not paid within 5 business days. | Basic: $0. Basic includes one tournament per club per calendar month, with one event and up to 20 teams. Premium: $1 per tournament created, charged to the club's card on file. Software: $2.50 per event registration, at most $5 per registrant, deducted from the director's payout. |
| Software Fee per Registration | None beyond the setup fee. The player service fee below is owed by the director for manual registrations, 100% discount codes and discounts that cut into the fee. | Basic: none. Premium: $2.50 per event registration, at most $5 per registrant, out of the payout. |
| Texting Players | $0.25 per registered U.S. player on the pricing page ($0.35 in the help center). Charged to the organizer only and cannot be reversed once turned on. | Billed separately when used. |
| Listing Without Registration | $500 for an ad-only tournament listing. These listings cannot use competing registration software; their policy allows deletion without notice and makes the fee non-refundable. | Organizers can disable player self-registration while keeping a tournament's public page available. |
| Escrow Service | $5.00 per registration when the tournament cannot take Stripe payments; the organizer is billed instead of the player. | CourtCut collects card payments through Stripe and pays tournament proceeds to the club's bank account, after applicable fees and adjustments. |
| Card Processing | Not listed with the fees above; see their terms. | Separate. The director chooses whether players pay card processing or the club absorbs it. |
What the Player Pays
| Fee | PickleballTournaments.com | CourtCut |
|---|---|---|
| Service Fee | $5 + 7.99% of the registration checkout (registration fee plus event fees), non-refundable and calculated before discounts. Applies to tournaments opening for registration on or after August 3, 2026; earlier tournaments stay on the legacy plan. | None. CourtCut adds nothing to the player's checkout; the Premium software fee comes out of the director's payout. |
| Professional Events | $25 per event with no maximum, when a professional bracket offers $10,000 or more in prize money. | None. Prize money and professional divisions do not change what players pay. |
| Card Processing | Not listed with the fees above; see their terms. | Separate. The director chooses whether players pay card processing or the club absorbs it. |

For a larger event, multiply by your expected registrations. On CourtCut the director pays the Premium rate per event registration, capped per registrant, out of the payout, and players see no added fee. On PickleballTournaments.com the director pays $25 up front and each player pays $5 plus 7.99% of their checkout, or the director takes that fee on.
PickleballTournaments.com lists your event in a directory its own players already browse. CourtCut events are found through your club page, the links you share and search. Both keep the event page online after play with results and winners.
