Hudson River Pickleball Aug $4000 Tournament
Prize Pool Increase For this tournament, we're doubling the prize pool for the Men's Doubles Open, while keeping the entry fee the same! Now gold/silver/bronze medal team gets $1,000/$500/$250 cash! Also we are making this event Coed, so women are also welcome to enter. Total prize pool is now $4,000 across all events! Format The format will be round robin in the group stage (1 game to 11), with the advancing teams going into playoffs, a single-elimination bracket (1 game to 15). Each team will have a minimum of 4 matches and all matches will be entered into DUPR. Top 3 places of every event will receive medals. All gold medalists for non-open level events will receive a free Hudson River Pickleball hat, plus their choice of either 1) one free hour of private court reservation per person or 2) a free entry for one event during early bird sign up (ie. $60 discount code) into our next tournament! Brackets Brackets may be combined if not enough teams are signed up in a given event. If a bracket has 3 teams or less, this bracket will most likely be combined with another bracket. If there are still not enough teams after combining skill levels, then we will cancel the event and refund everyone. Starting Times Exact start times will be announced 1-2 days before the start of the event! This is because we need to know the final number of entrants for each event in order to determine the most efficient start times to keep the day running as smoothly as possible. Ball The ball used will be Franklin X-40 for all events, EXCEPT the Open level events, which will use the LT 48 Pro ball.
